We need to stop telling people they’re not conservatives, period. You don’t get to define how others describe themselves.
Case in point: A black Mexican family is Mexican, not black. They tell you they’re Mexican because they speak Spanish and celebrate Mexican traditions; heck they may even have citizenship, but because of their skin you say they’re not Mexican, they’re black. Where is the sense in telling a person who discovers their humanity that they’re doing it wrong and don’t belong? It’s all hands on deck if we want to win the culture war.
