Drag is not for kids

Last week a young man lost his life for daring to utter these words in public. Wilson Gavin was more than likely pushed in front of a moving train by people who hated his position and were quick to label the event as a tragic suicide from a self loathing individual.

He went face to face with a fellow homosexual and proclaimed that this art form is not consumable for children. In response to this news, I also have taken to making my very clear position known.

I explained that Drag yes is an entertaining art form but like every art, some is consumable for children, and other types aren’t. I believe that everyone who comes into contact with children under 18 should be background checked often because predators will do anything to get close to their prey. 3 separate drag queens in 3 different cities have been caught reading to children when they have been court ordered to stay away from the underage.

The #ChurchofStonewall, or LGBT Cult as some call it, will say that it’s a plant, or that nothing has happened yet so these performers have every right to do their art for kids. I draw a VERY CLEAR LINE at kids and these men should not be near our youth. People seeking to do harm will use any and every tactic in the book to reach their goals. From using a fake name, to using a law intended to help marginalized people, sickos will do anything.

I’ve supported the art of drag in my hometown  and  queen who wanted to present something clean for the community.

Some people found it enjoyable, and others found it to be an abomination. Regardless of what people thought, I supported the idea that if a person wants to change the stereotypes associated with drag, then I support that too. Not all drag queens are pedophiles, and not all pedophiles are drag queens. It’s our responsibility to denounce and remove any and all threats to our children wherever they appear. From churches to story hour, our kids deserve better.
