Soon after leaving the comfort of my parents safety net, I fell into a difficult place that was surrounded by sex, drugs, and parties. Six months later, I ran as fast I could back to my parents and started my adult life for a second time. I found a job, moved away and never looked back at the 2 people who loved me enough to rescue me, but couldn’t face my sexuality. I didn’t move far, and eventually I fell in love with the man I’m with 15 years later and he also had been touched by the venom that is meth in his youth.
Some call us boomerang children, others call us lucky, but I think we’re a bit of both. In my life, I’ve encountered MANY MANY MANY people touched, killed, and destroyed by this drug and my desert is riddled with debris from it’s creation. The best people in my life, are the ones that turned around and created something with their addiction and I champion these people because they are felons. They are moms, they are brothers, and they are husbands or daughters but they are saved. Saved from an addiction, regardless of the path that got them there.
Now there’s a war on the LGBT youth, and no one is aware. Sure AIDS ravaged a rainbow nation, but meth is cheap, and it’s addictive. Make it cool and we’ll have the enslavement of another generation, who chooses the pleasures of flesh over the soul. We’ll have another genocide, that no one realizes. Not on my watch!
And not on the watch of other LGBT Conservatives! We’re exposing the darkness and the establishment is mad. We’ve chosen to #WalkAway with Brandon Straka, and we will not be held captive by shiny objects like Poppers, Tina, Molly, or whatever else you think is cool. Especially when you peddle it through “Dating Apps” like Grindr that lure gay men into dangerous situations.

The past year or so I’ve noticed something. That whenever you open any gay dating app, when you look at the various profiles… about half of them openly proclaim they are on meth. I’ve had it happen a few times over the past year that I went out on a date with someone – only to then find out they’re on meth. That never happened before, yet now it’s becoming the norm. I brought this up to friends of mine, they’ve all noticed the same thing – that there is an epidemic of meth use amongst gay men.
Well now, Grindr (which let’s face it: is used by most gay men) is openly promoting meth use! When you open the Grindr app, you get a pop-up directing you to a site called Tweaker.org
This site is written by people who are openly meth users, providing information for MORE people to do meth. It even instructs you on how to do meth, all the different ways (including shoving it up your ass…), how much meth to buy, how much you should pay for your meth, tips for how to get high longer on meth… I looked through this whole site and did not see ONE article about quitting meth or getting help.
The impression one would get from this site is a) meth is great, and b) there’s little to no harm in being a meth head. If a young kid who’s 18 or 19 read this, they would 100% get the impression that meth is a fun, glamorous thing that they should do.
They talk about “reducing harm”. That’s like saying “Shoot up heroin in a safe way”. There IS no safe way! Meth is bad. Just don’t fucking do it!
But you can’t say that… oooh no, then there might be a “stigma”! And God forbid ANY bad, toxic, or harmful behavior should EVER be stigmatized! I’m sorry, some things SHOULD have a stigma! Stigmas are good! Stigmas are a form of self defense against things that are bad for us. Meth should have a stigma. Suicide should have a stigma. Intentionally giving people HIV should have a stigma.
THIS is the degeneracy I’m talking about. THIS is the bigotry of low expectations. THIS is the shit that gets pushed on young gay people. You cannot even dare to tell gay men “Don’t do meth”, or “meth is bad”. No, that would be a thtigma!!! You’d be “shaaaaaming” them! God forbid! Drug addiction is a serious thing that should not be taken this lightly.
The message time and time again that is being sent to young gay men is that God FORBID anything should EVER get in the way of you getting laid. Nothing else matters, not even your own health and safety. This is fucking degenerate. Gay men’s health and wellness is ALWAYS secondary to the “be open minded” ideology. No. We are so open-minded our brains are falling out!
