Barstow Victory

Being recognized in photographs, videos, and in the media isn’t our goal; it never is. The Southern California band of Patriots has made a name for itself as provocateur’s, Trump supporters, and for me, a family. We pulse across the heart of Los Angeles and when we get together, magic happens. We recently took our magic north to Sacramento where yours truly was captured on film and even appeared on Fox news.  While I was driving back home, my family was already at the next event in Barstow.

When the news came out that the Veteran’s home was going to be closed due to funding while Gavin Newsom pledged money for illegals, our group had to do something, and they did. They rallied. Calls went out across the state and immediately all eyes were on the struggling Veteran’s home. Cars drove from hundreds of miles away to gridlock and wave American flags in support of the veterans. Patriots stood in 100 degree desert sun with signs & flags while decked in red, white and blue.

Watching from my phone on the road I was going to miss this event, but I couldn’t be prouder of my family. Familiar faces lit up my social media and images of my friends around a decommissioned tank finally made me wish I was there instead. A tank!! My friends were taking group photos with a freaking TANK!!! Meanwhile,  I was visiting with my husband’s kin. Every relationship is compromise and sometimes I have to watch from afar, we all do from time to time. I just really wish I was there; Next time!

Tonight it was announced that the veteran’s home has officially been saved!!! Although I wasn’t there I feel a sense of pride and say, yes we did it! The #SoCalPatriots caused the fake media to pay attention and when the rest of America heard about Gavin Newsom’s intention, closing the home was no longer in the cards.  We disrupted Adam Schiff in Glendale, we shook up the Oscars, and this last weekend we waved to the boats on flag day (Trump’s Birthday too).  What’s next, we’ll see, but tonight we had a big win, in Barstow.

“A group held a rolling rally on Memorial Day, May 25, to bring awareness to the proposed closure. The group, “Save Barstow Veterans Home” also started a petition urging Newsom, Sen. Dianne Feinstein and President Donald Trump to keep the home open.”

That group, is the Southern California Patriots.
