I vividly remember living near LAX 12 years ago when it all happened. The absence of air traffic was eerie and the nation held it’s breath. When we finally exhaled to see the horrors of people jumping from windows and losing all hope we finally came together as a nation.
Not everyone is in agreement as to who was responsible, not everyone will be, but those of us who remember that fateful day should hold this day in high regard for all of the lost souls. All the men and women who lost children, parents, brothers, sisters, friends and loved ones, you are not forgotten. Today, America weeps again in memoriam. Do not allow sorrow to fester into hatred because hate leads to our own destruction. Let us not forget the past. It is because of our past, learning from it, that we can build a better future.
